Troy Tompkins Racing is a new racing team located in the south eastern portion of the United States. While TTR is a new racing team, the actual influence of the team began many years ago when Ed Tompkins began racing on the dirt tracks of Upstate New York. This and countless visits to watch the other local dirt racers was what got Guy Tompkins involved in the Motorsports world.
In Guys early twenties, he began racing his dirt modified on the high banks of Lebanon Valley Speedway. A few wins and sleepless nights later Guy's raceteam ran out of the green and went under. However, this was not the end of the Tompkins family love affair with the sport.
In 2006, Troy Tompkins began to get his eye on the Sport of Quarter Midget Racing. By 2007, he would be fully involved and one of the most known personalities at the track. In 2008, after a real tough start to the season, TTR turned it around at the Apple Blossom, qualifying 3rd in 120, and 16th in 160, and then backing that up with a 4th in 120, and a 13th in 160.
TTR now faces the remainder of the 2008 racing season as one of the top points contenders in Cumming points, and also Region 3 points.
